Ford Motor Co. must pay $15 million to a woman who said her 1995 Explorer accelerated on its own and crashed,
Bloomberg reported Monday.
Sonya Watson, 23, was left quadriplegic after the December 1999 accident. The Greenville, S.C., jury also awarded
$3 million to the estate of her aunt, Patricia Carter, 48, who was killed in the crash, according to the Bloomberg
report.
Ford will appeal the verdict, a spokeswoman said.
