Engineer Testifies in Ford Motor Co. Case
GREENVILLE, S.C. The trial of a lawsuit against Ford Motor and other companies is under way in South Carolina.
Plaintiff's attorneys have said the 1995 Ford Explorer accelerated and crashed in 1999, killing one woman and
leaving another a quadriplegic.
An engineer testified yesterday that electromagnetic interference caused the sudden acceleration that led to the
wreck.
Antony Anderson also testified he believed the cause of the sudden acceleration was electrical -- and beyond the
driver's control.
Defense attorneys have said the two women weren't wearing seat belts when the S-U-V crashed.
