Are you taking Yasmine or Yaz® for birth control?
They can cause serious ailments.

If you have taken or currently take Yasmine or Yaz, you may be eligible to file a lawsuit against the drug manufacturer to receive financial compensation. Both are potentially high-risk drugs that have been linked to a variety of serious ailments and health problems. In addition to possibly causing birth defects, both Yasmine and Yaz increase the risk for heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, blood clotting, Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), Pulmonary Embolism (PE), diabetic conditions, and more. How do you know if you are eligible to file a lawsuit? If you, or a loved one, have taken either Yasmine or Yaz and experienced any of the following symptoms, you may qualify:

  • Sudden numbness
  • Weakness
  • Severe headache
  • Chest pain
  • Heavy feeling in chest
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Swelling
  • Headaches
  • Stomach Pain
  • Nausea
  • and more

Neither Yasmine nor Yaz should be taken if you are pregnant. You should inform your doctor of any medications you are currently taking if he prescribed Yasmine or Yaz. If you smoke and are over 35, if you have ever had breast or uterine cancer, if you have had cardio or arterial issues, jaundice caused by birth control pills, or blood clots, you should not take either of these prescriptions. Studies have shown that life-threatening ailments can result. Numerous lawsuits have already been filed by women alleging they were injured or impaired by this common drug.

What is Yasmine / Yaz?

Both Yasmine and Yaz are birth-control contraceptives that prevent ovulation. The drugs are nearly identical: both contain 3 mg of drosperinone per tablet, with Yasmine containing 0.03 mg of ethinyl estradiol per tablet, and Yaz containing 0.02 mg of ethinyl estradiol per tablet. Specifically, it is drosperinone that works against the body's normal regulation of salt and water to cause elevated potassium levels—a condition called hyperkalemia, that is linked to heart disease and other life-threatening health issues.
